It’s back to school time and this term we are learning about the Olympics. We are learning lots of different things. We wrote down questions we would like to find out the answer and we are putting them in groups. We are also practicing some sports in the Olympics like long jump and triple jump. My highest score for long jump is 4.7m and my highest for triple jump is 5.7m. I think these are really high scores for me because I have not had much practice and I am only in grade 5. This term we have a student teacher who is really lovely and pretty. She is really helpful and smart.

A Pegasis is a female who loves ‘My Little Pony – Friendship of Magic’.

A Brony is usually refered to a male, Bro (brother) ony (pony).

My favourite is probably Fluttershy!!

Yesterday (Wednesday 13th) I went to the Convention Center (with my Dad on the train) to go to the ‘Meet the Writers Festival 2O12’. Me and some of my friends and classmates went. There was 14 people in total (Including our teacher and my Dad). We split up in to 2 groups of 6 and visited two different authors (and one illustrator).

First we met an illustrator called Greg Holfeld. Here is a link to the book he has illustrated (Captain Congo) and here is a bit about him. He drew us a picture of CC and he taught us how illustrations and writing work together and how to write a book (if you know what I mean)

We also met an author (I have forgotton his name atm ‘oops’!) but he taught me alot about how to write books. For example he taught us that you can base stories on real life things but add and change them so no one would know!

There was about 2000 students there and it was a lot of fun!

At our school we have a day called Sports Day. Their are four teams who play lots of games to earn the most points. The Teams names are Barker (yellow) Flinders (Green) Sturt (Red) and Light (Blue). I am in the yellow team. So is my friend Tam. The Yellow team or the Blue team has normally won the years I’ve been at school. We had Sports day in term 1 and Barker won 🙂 YELLOW ATTACK!!

In Sports Day we had many different activities including ‘Cross Country’ (where we run around the boundary’s of our school, past the creek), Tug of War, Volley ball, Long jump and a special rugby clinic (which you can read about on my class blog). I really enjoyed all of the activities but the best thing about sports day would have to be the sprints! I love running!! I came 1st out of the people I was running against (by quite a long way)

Hey Guys, Welcome and thank you for visiting my blog.

I will keep you updated on all the stuff in my life. Obviously I will not post every day, Even though I might want to. I still do have a life. When I say that I mean not in a offencive or rude way but just a way to say, I have homework every night apart from weekends or friday and family commitments. On Tuesday I defiantly will not be able to go on as I have my schools netball practice, homework and scouts.I assure you understand?
